Social sphere and its development in Ukraine and EU countries.

Abstract

In the article the approaches of the definition of “Social Issues” are considered. The possibilities of the assessing of the level of the national social environment development are found out. The possible indicators of the assessing are sorted into the following blocks: the indicators for the social sphere and indicators for the social sphere influence on other areas of society. Based on the identified areas of assessment, within the blocks of indicators, a comparative analysis of some indicators of social areas are carried out. The key differences in the level of the development of the social indicators are determined. The reasons of the low level of the social indicators in Ukraine in comparison with European countries are identified.
