Defines the ways of structural modernization of the regional economy of developing countries, with the introduction of world experience of development of clusters. Clusters are considered as an element of the mechanism of stimulation of industrial production and regional development, which can increase the level of competition on the domestic market and strengthen foreign economic activity of the enterprises-members of the cluster. Presents a model of cluster formation and deployment of related and supporting activities. Justified agglomeration effect of cluster formation, which is implemented by reducing transport costs; management of regional resources and opportunities for maneuvering them; combining and cooperation of industrial relations; the use of shared infrastructure.References
