The first part of the paper focuses on the analysis of the structure of export and import in the former Federal Republic of Yugoslavia which clearly points to the decline in the export and import of goods and deterioration of the structure of export and import in the last decade of the twentieth century. Due to the weak technological development, export and import of goods were in disharmony with the world’s tendencies towards export and import. The second part of the paper analyzes the dynamics and structure of Serbian foreign trade. Low value of coefficient of intra-industry trade and coefficient of goods concentration point to insufficient specialization of export offer and the lack of Serbian internationally competitive products. The final part of the paper presents the impact of foreign direct investments and the transfer of modern technologies to the performances of Serbian export offer.References
