Transition economy and foreign direct investment: in the case of Poland.

Abstract

The XX century was a transformation century for the whole world. Vision of Economic integration started after World War II. It has been expanding in the sense of that the number of member country and market size, and it was accelerated after 1990s by transition economies. Why does the country intend to participation in the economic integration? Which countries participated in the economic integration? How the economic integration reflected in foreign direct investment? Contents of this paper tries to describe above mentioned questions and feather aspects where foreign direct investment (herein after FDI) will be described based mainly in Polish case:

  • Forms and types of economic integration
  • Why does the country intend to participation in the economic integration?
  • Which country participated in the economic integration?
  • Economic integration and foreign direct investment.
  • What is needed to invite foreign direct investment?
  • What impact is expected from foreign direct investment?
  • Conclusion.
