Social-and-labour sphere of industrial region: evaluation and prospects of development

Abstract

The article is devoted to the analysis of social-and-labour sphere in industrial regions of Ukraine. The nature and key elements of social-andlabour sphere (social and labour relations, labour market, labour protection, remuneration of labour, professional development of employees, quality of working life) were defined. Due to the system of sociological and statistical data that was proposed the estimation of regions by the level of labour sphere development was made. Problems and specific features of labour sphere functioning were discovered. Among them are uneven development of various indicators of social-and-labour sphere inside region and compared with other administrative-territorial formations. It was determined that the field of labour in Donetsk and Dnipropetrovsk regions is better developed than it is Luhansk and Zaporizhia. Priorities for improvement of each element of the social-and-labour area were proved.
